38 2002 Pictures! 56K DEATH

Finally, There Here! Books and window sticker are like brand new. Recaro seats are still in the shrinking process from the upholstery shop. Driving it for a day before I take it back (needs paint still), and loving it!

I love the orange paintjob, and those rims are GREAT. Theyre similar to the ones that come on the Jaguar XJR from a couple years back. They look awesome on that car too. BMWs sure have come a long way.

Yea, we're basically restoring it. Eddie Wright is painting it in a week or so; he did the MR2 spyder in 2Fast 2Furious. It'll be back to looking new soon. And yea, that really says 80k on the ODO.

Question... what does VDO stand for? I know it's to do with all the censors -- the cruise control unit says "VDO" on it too.

VDO is a brand name - a German gauge and automobile electronics manufacturer (now owned by Siemens). BMW uses gauges and selected other electronics that are made by VDO. VDO is just a brand name, like AutoMeter in the US. If VDO stands for something, I don't know what it is.
