Anyone here live in Detroit?

Hi guys. I'm moving to detroit in a few weeks and I was wondering if anyone here was extremely familiar with Motown and could give me some much needed advice. I've already found a place to live and all that stuff. It'll be on Brush street in downtown detroit, and I'm wondering where are the cheap grocery stores, etc.


BTW, to all those who remember my law school fiasco...things always seem to work in the end. Thank you all for your support, words of encouragement, and kindness. The end of the fiasco has moved my life to Detroit...I wonder what's next....

Hey Tom,
Got a bunch of not-so-great news with law schools and pretty much became a hermit for a bit. But, when one door closes a window always seems to open up... So I got in a school in Michigan by chance. So I'm going in through the window, so to speak. Things are looking better now. Only sad part about moving to Detroit is that I'm not taking my car with me; sniff, sniff. I am very excited though, and I'm going to store my car anyway so it doesn't sit outside and get messed up.

Anything fun and exciting going on on the board? Any heated, zealous political or religious threads that I missed?

When you do store your Bimmer, make your your gas tank is full and disconnect the battery. Come time to drive her again, change the oil and make sure the tires are inflated properly. Goodluck with the move, hopefully you'll check in more often in MI.
