Must be nice to live in a metro area where there are alot of bimmers...
Makes meets alot of fun, to be sure! Someone always shows up that makes the jaw drop (We had a M5 stop in, and at least a dozen M3's of E36/E46 make, not to mention many highly modified 3 series to boot).

Atlanta is certainly a BMW city, if I've ever seen one. Only places with more that I've been to is South Cali, and Las Vegas (And only on the strip at that..).

We had twice the turnout as this one back in February when we also met up with the local Audi fellas for a meet. About 30-35 bimmers, and 15-20 Audi's. It was a german wonderland! [:)]

oh, jason, i agree, atl is loaded with bimmers - quite fitting for the type of lifestyle the atl area supports - especially the 100+ mph 10 mile stretch on GA400

You probably drove by us this time coming from Memphis - we met at Town Center Mall this time Saturday at noon (it's smack dab between 75 and 575 junction). The route took them up 575, over across to Helen, then back down some place called Wolfden Gap.

Yup Ga400 is happily nicknamed the Alpharetta Autobaun by some. Between the toll booth and exit 7 north, theres generally no law to be found, just craploads of traffic.. I got lucky this past Christmas, I took my Mom to the airport the weekend after christmas early Saturday morning, and was coming back north around.. 7am or so. NO traffic, I had never seen it so desolete. I stuck it to 110 for a good while, was great to finally get to unwind it a little.

i was there also, but i went on the drive. it was a great time. it was the first meet/drive i have been on and everyone was very friendly and helpful. at one point i was going 110+ and got passed by a s8 like i was tied down.it was raining and i was one of the slower guys out there and gave the folks the option to go by. but none of them seemed to care.

If they do another drive this Sunday, I might be able to go this time..

I can't believe I didn't bump into you, but I think I know who you were there now. I was the guy wearing the red shirt with an 8 on it (Figured that'd help identify me). [;)]

Is your entire interior poplar wood? That was really sweet on the dash! Got any interior photos? (I only got the passenger side, and didn't want to be too nosy and stick my head in).

I'd be trailing you probably, it's good to know there's more cars my speed, with all the M's out there (including the S8, geeeez), it was an impressive lineup.

Interesting E36 M w/ SC for sale.. Did you catch that when he revved the crap outta it in the parking lot? I thought a jumbo jet was about to touch down!

yeh i was standing right in front of it!!
btw..
thats me and my gf in the pic of the yellow m3.
Ok, see I thought maybe you were the other e36 325i that rolled up late, they didn't really get out of their car much, so I didn't get a chance to have a photo op.

Ali's dakar M3 is indeed sick, I love the yellow odometer work he did in it.. Can't wait for another meet, when we meet at perimeter more folks show up.. [:)]

*drool*

My car came w/ titanium (Looked terrible against Sand interior to me..) I swapped for Myrtle wood, but wish I could get my hands on a good set of Poplar trim.. It costs a fair penny to get new. Did your car come with it or did you change out your trim?

depending on the type trim, and if it's sedan or coupe, it can range from $500-$1100 for some of the more excotic trims. (The center console part is usually the most expensive piece).

Poplar is a bit rare (That is poplar isn't it? I hope so, I keep referring to it as that).

im no arborist (sp?). i dont know what kind of wood it is. the trim above the glove box ,shift knob,& trim around the shifter are the only pieces in the car.
