Inside Track for July 2004 reports BMW’s generous donation of 15 hydrogen cars. BMW reports having pioneered the liquid hydrogen car over 20 years ago. The study will look at hydrogen fuel in real-world driving situations. The study also involves the construction of 24 different types of hydrogen filling stations in California. (Inside Track-BMW of North America, July 2004)

I think this is a great idea that so many are jumping into the hydrogen fuel idea. At least it may give other options down the road.

Sounds great...whats it going to cost to produce....I am not a scientist by any means, how do you produce hydrogen? does it stink like methane? I just know that I have never heard of hydrogen in a liquid form. I think this will be interesting.

I am still not sure about widespread use of hydrogen. But at the same time there could be many other applications for the product other than consumer cars. I am thinking along the lines of government and industrial applications as a substitute for fossil fuels, at least in the beginning.

Some German and Swedish taxi companies (having BMW and Volvo) will using it as a substitute in 2005, I heard.

Relationchip of 15 percent fuel / 85 percent hydrogen..
