The S65 absolutely stole the show for me. Beautiful ground kit, fat AMG 20s, and 600 odd HP and over 700lbs. of torque was enough to make me drool. The car has an unbelievable presence, and I can honestly say that it is my dream four-door.

Unfortunately, I wasn't as impressed with the M5 as I thought I was going to be. The color they had at the show was a horrible crap brown (called Sepang Bronze Metallic). The interior looked nice, but was disappointed that BMW didn't give it the full-leather treatment (dash) like the previous generation. It still felt a little plasticky. But I think overall the M5s look great on the road or when they're parked. But I think the S65 stole a little bit of its thunder for me....same goes for the CLS55, which looks very impressive and comes with a full-leather interior, and as we all know, it no performance slouch either.

Audi's S8 was at the show, too. Another very beautiful and impressive full-sizer.

i looove that camaro, too. it really rocks. in my eyes the mustang opened the book and the camaro is the read! it is...amazing.

thanks for the pics!!!
I'll take the new Hemi Challenger or the Shelby Mustang, both of which will waste the new Camero unless GM decides to give it some bite. The 475 hp Shelby will be hard to beat.

The camaro looks awesome and if GM continues adding power to the line (CTS-V, corvette, gto) then it will smoke the mustang and challenger.

I think it's very well done.

Jerry, when we are comparing mustang and camaro, it is not usefull to take a shelby for reference. the regular mustang is the competitor. or we have to wait for a SS or RS version, if they make one at least.
The regular camaro shall have some what? 400 horses? how much has the regular mustang? 300? how does that compare? i think the camaro is still more muscle than the mustang....just as it was in the good old days...

anyway, enough power is what they all supply at the end of the day. it is handling and design that complete a car. in terms of design the camaro makes the cut. at least in my books

Wadula is right. I really like the new Camaro but I you know the handling won't be that great because they don't want to take away from Corvette sales. I hope they do it right because I will buy one if they do.

The Camero is a nice looking car, I won't take that away...but why not compare it to a Shelby Mustang? How about an '04 Cobra Mustang? Do you want to compare it with four cyl. Mustang?

The point is, the Hemi Challenger, Camero and Shelby Mustang (and formerly Cobra Mustang) are cars you and I and every other average Joe can walk in and leave with an hour later for ~$40k (when available). The Mustang and Camero are competitors and the Mustang wins.

These are good times when auto makers are offering performance to the average guy again. I would love to see a supercharged Camero.

Oh, by the way, I've bled Ford Blue for years [:)]

what i meant is not comparing with a 4 cyl. how could i? that would be nonsense. what i meant was to compare apples with apples. (in terms of marketing here, not power)

Camaro - mustang (regular V8 of course)
RS/SS Camaro - Shelby Mustang

you see? i am talking regular to regular. your comparison is regular to tuned-up version. that would like comparing a 330i with a C-class AMG. at least in my eyes.
