When I bought this car, the guy told me the software had been upgraded so I assumed it was like Dinan Stage 1 or something for about 13hp gain. No other mods were done so it's stock otherwise. They used 3850 lbs, vs the curb weight of 3748 in the manual. I have about 101,000 miles on it.

Not sure how to calculate hp at the wheel but the dyno guy told me it was about 295. So, I guess the software thing is true and I know what I'm working with. The ABS kicked on one time. I guess it didn't like the idea of the car going 100 mph+ with the door open, hood open and seat belt unfastened. Next time might take the ABS fuse out.

Also, I guess this was the problem with the new M3 they tried to dyno in the octane article lately. The guy said newer cars are a royal pain, especially BMW and Benz. They have to take all kinds of fuses out to fool it.

I'm gonna autocross it in about a week so I'll get to test it's limits a little.

Looks good! You should definitely think about replacing the stock air filter (for a new clean one) and getting an exhaust to get even more power.

The new BMW's, such as the M3, are smart. The car "knows" that it's not going 100mph if the engine isn't receiving 100mph winds so it limits the engine to a 4,000rpm redline or something like that. Dinan knows exactly how to fool it, though.
