eBay scam for a BMW auction

Has anybody ever dealt with scams such as the ones on this-- http://www.greenspun.com/bboard/q-and-a-fetch-msg.tcl?msg_id=00BnIH -- webpage? Someone has attempted to scam me and I want to know if it is possible for the police or FBI to bust her. She actually works 20 min. away from me (next door to my friend's dad's work, coincidentally).

If you have the original e-mail including all headers you can forward it to your local FBI office. I have done this in the past and they were very helpful. I think you have to get it to the attention of Fraud and Scams Dept. or something like that. Good luck!

first of all, a legit business would have their own domain...NOT YAHOO or HOTMAIL. secondly, who doesn't take visa these days? hell, even McDonald's does. Anyone unwilling to accept visa etc (the paper trail) is a scammer, PERIOD!

Wow and it all sounds so very professional. My wife is an eBay fanatic, guess I should warn her as well.
