Oh yes!

With the release of the 599 GTB, Ferrari is presenting its most powerful V12-engined production car of all time.

The new car is a concentration of Ferrari's most innovative and technologically advanced engineering solutions applied to a mid-front engined two-seater coupe. The result is a new benchmark for performance, driver involvement and design.

The Ferrari 599 GTB boasts class-leading power thanks to its 6-liter V12 - derived directly from the Enzo Ferrari supercar - which produces no less than 620 bhp at 7,600 rpm for a weight/power ratio of just 2.6 kg per horsepower.

Ferrari has adopted the latest evolution in its tried and tested all-aluminum construction technology for the body and chassis.

The unmistakable Pininfarina design gives the Ferrari 559 GTB aggressive yet elegant lines which are perfectly integrated with the advanced aerodynamic solutions adopted to reach the performance figures attainable.

This new model is the symbol of Ferrari's production - the V12 berlinetta - and represents the latest interpretation of a theme that has seen such classics as the 250 GT, the 275 GTB, and the 365 GTB4.

The Ferrari 599 GTB replaces the last in that great line of berlinettas, the 575M Maranello, of which - together with the 550 Maranello introduced in 1996 - no fewer than 5,700 have been produced, a record for this type of model for the Prancing Horse.

The new car will be officially unveiled on the 28th of February 2006 at the Geneva Motor Show.

RSportsCars.com Exclusive: The Ferrari 599 Caught Filming a Commercial (Published: 2/15/2006)

RSportsCars.com has obtained exclusive images of the new Ferrari 599 GTB and a Ferrari F40, taken during filming of a commercial in Valley of Fire State Park, Las Vegas. The filming was done by a helicopter which followed the two cars as they were driven on a narrow two-lane canyon road at fairly high speeds. The Ferrari's commercial for the 599 is scheduled to be shown in Europe in May or June 2006.

Mike Olivella, who photographed the cars, commented: "At the staging area, they spent the entire time polishing and wiping down both cars. The F40 could blow the 599 away, but the F40 driver was careful to make it look like the 599 was every bit as powerful."

"The 599 had a V-12, 620-horsepower engine, but it was not in the same class as the F40," Mike Olivella continued. "Most of the spectators (the few that were there) commented that the car looked more like a Jaguar than a Ferrari, and were more enthralled by the F40 than the 599."

"The drivers were incredible. I drove the road that they filmed the cars on, and it was a very windy, up and down two-lane road. These guys really opened the cars up and to watch them negotiate the turns and the dips was something to see."

Oh yeah you guys would turn one down! [boxface]
I would trade my roadster for one... [headbang]
Heck I'd trade my E30 for one straight up, but I wouldn't cough up the $200k difference that you'd need in reality. I'd still take the F40 ANY day though. For some weird reason I think of Pontiac G6 coupe when I see the back.

Not weird at all... it looks like a G6. Everything about it, it's pretty disturbing actually. I like that car a lot, except from the back. It lacks that superwide, obnoxious "I'm a FERRARI!" supercar stance, and single taillights don't seem at all relavent to Ferrari design, ever. It looks like a facelifted G6 from the back... I dearly hope they change it.

From all other angles... sick car!! [thumb]

I have an amateur video that captured both cars during the filming, going down the mountain road at full song.

Does anybody want to host it? It is fairly small.

I want the lifestyle (including the big$$$$$$$$$$$)'s it takes to have those two toys as well as some sort of custom built fun mansion(s) to keep them in. Oh yes, one has to look good while being seen in either of them!!! [}:)] [cheers]
