I hate having a front license plate, and they look especially bad on new BMWS, and really bad on new Audis.

Custom coloured hole plugs run about $25, and I think that is Insane!! With 2
25¢ plastic hole plugs and a small rubber mallet...I kind of "fixed" the front holes.

What do you think?

You are right they look realy bad - you did a good job hiding them holes ...

I asked the dealer not to drill the holes on my car when I took delivery of my car last July :)

On our last few Bimmers, the holes were not drilled. The dealers asked us if we wanted them or not, and then CA dealers make you sign a waiver stating that you declined to install the front plate. Unfortunately, the person who prepped my car the day I bought it, took the inititive, and installed the front license plate!! Danke Arschloch [;)]

I seems that on cars that are very $$$, they do not drill.

Heh mine was a new jersey car, so it had the front plate.

I'd say it looks a lot better than before!!

Best $17 visual upgrade ever (next to the euro lights, which are just f'ing awesome IMO)

Heres a plate story of u guys. Last sunday i went to a car meet. Apparently the security guard of the plaza was real mad about us parking backwards. so we all moved over a few spots and parked the right way. i guess she exxpected us to leave. Nope. So she calls in a cop for "backup." Once the cop arrives she starts writing eveyrone up for no front plate tickets!!!! It was the very beginning of th emeet so there were only like 12 cars. One guy had a front plate on. I ran to my trunk while she wasnt looking and put my plate on in about half a second.

I have the BMW delete insert, nd then put velcro on that and velcro on the back of my plate. So basically i took it out of the trunk and velcro'd the puppy on. I didnt get a ticket :)

If you look close you cud see the velcro on the moldings besides the BMW symbols.

Glad I live in a state that doesn't try to get even more tax dollars out of your pocket by requiring front tags..

The horror stories I hear occasionally are great reminders! [:(]

Money ain't even the issue. Imagine seeing all the NJ cars that get ruined by a front license plate...i.e. E46 M3, new M5 and M6, Lancer EVO, Impreza WRX, and the list goes on.

when i bought my car (used) it had both licenses plates, but i just asked a dealer that i went through for the dealer's paper plates and i put those on.

sucks having it, but it looks better than a plate and now i don't have to worry about getting a ticket.

one of the ugliest things about the e46 sedans were the built in front lincese plate holder moldings. lucky for me, mine actually came w/ two different sets for the front, prolly because mine came w/ the m-tek front spoilers.

i instructed the salesman to not put the front license plate holders, and it was actually one of the things he did right! imagine that!! e46s def look better w/out the licnese plate holder, esp in the sedan form.
