Good Deal?

Hey I'm looking at a 87 535is with 160k miles. its in great condition the only set back is the exhaust has a leak in it however i would throw a new exhaust in anyways. i just wanted to know if it was a good deal, the guy wants 1500 for it. its an automatic but it has sport mode which is always fun. it has leather recaro interior and all the bells and wistles the is package comes with. i think he said it had a 3.2l v6 in it. so let me know if i should go for it. its an awsoem ride. i love the classic bimmers.

Ummm, all BMW sixes are inline. And it's a 3.5L engine! The guy you're dealing with doesn't seem to know too much about his car! It should be an E28 by the build date. If it is, make sure you get it thoroughly checked out as they can have serious electrical problems.

I was looking at a 94 530 a while back and it had a V8, so I really doubt that 535 has a V6.
