There is one at BMW of Austin, I just saw it today.

However, it only had body colored molding on the front fascia and the side and back were still that black rubber molding.../shrug

Question: why are all the M come w/ plastic/titanium interior? The 1er M pic showed the same. The titanium doesn't stand out and looks so plastic. Don't tell me that is what we are paying for! It gives me a feeling of lunch time turkey wrap in aluminium foil!

I think Chevy did a great job designing the Equinox.
While I was driving home tonight, took a mental picture of the car right next to me. Thought somebody had the same taste as me. Turn out it was an Equinox. Equinox's back looked cute like my X3. [ohcrap]

LOL, that's funny you say that. When the Equinox was brand-new and I saw one in NYC (the rear end), I thought it was the new RX330 or the X3. Oh well, the Equinox certainly sells well in my neighborhood.

I wonder why the X3 is better? You know I love the Chevy Eqwoh, when it came out they started the "American Revolution" ad campaign. I always get a kick out of the fact that since it is an “American Revolution” why is 70% of the vehicle made in China, and 80% of its parts imports? Definitely a Revolution.

I don’t know if anyone noticed but since the X3 came out (or when it did I should say) A LOT of people bashed it, they said they hated it they thought it was ugly, slow pointless, why the change of heart? It’s strange but it was accepted pretty fast, wonder if it’s because of the badge?

Yes speed is an issue, but once time is given for the engine to recognize my driving habit, adjustment is maded. Besides the handling and ride offering by DSC and the lower profile, shock system and the whole dynamic of the car is excellent. after driving a 325i and a small 318ti for years and never owned other car before, when I drove my friends' cars, they were just not precise. Rather my X3 can still give me room to invade tough winding mt roads w/ late braking or no brake at all at 55mph. I don't think Chevy can give a feel of that.

Details like wind deflector rising up automatically only at certain speed, if the roof is opened. Mirrors auto dim function, sinus, sos service...etc Basically whatever functions inside a 645i can be found in an X3 plus all-wheel drive and the roof. It is a deal!

well, SUV and SAV is totally different. They have different market though.

As per Kirby's post in one of the threads -

Bangle said he sees ‘almost nothing’ from other car makers in terms of ‘real and formal innovation… Almost no one has had the courage to take a radically new direction the way BMW has.’
Bangle is damn right. Taking a huge step that other car makers even the customers find it hard to swallow, like the X6. So the COPY CATs say "NO" 1st, then come later.
