Here's my new to me 1996 Audi A4 Quattro. I admit its not as clean as I would like

What do you all think?

i like the old A4 really alot.

i suggest you get red/white lights for front and rear to get an even sportier look. other than that it is already looking good.
if the money is there, get some bigger rims. I love the S4 wheels, maybe that would be an option?
all in all it could look like this one here...

Congrats! Glad you bought the 2.8 instead of the 1.8t, I've read that the earlier turbo models had a lot of issues with their coilpacks.

The 1.8ts also have sludge problems. I'm happy with my purchase it just needs a little cleaning.
