OK, OK. I know it hasn't been all that long since the last time I polished my 318is and proudly showed off the pics but this time the job is absolutely amazing!

FYI, I used "Autoglym Super Resin Polish" to start with and then finished it off with a clearcoat surface using "Autoglym Extra Gloss Protection". The gloss leaves a damn hard layer on top of the paintwork and seems to protect the paint very well. Apparently it's particularly good on red paints... I think perhaps that assertion is vindicated here [:D]

Enjoy.

325i, usually the rubbing compound products are the ones that remove paint. Polishes and waxes just form a protective layer on top of the paint and just bring out the shine.

Thanks for the compliments guys. Much appreciated [thumb]

Emile, I think all polishing materials have some cutting compound in them because you need to take the oxidised outer layer of the paint off in order to reveal the nice paint behind it. This is why it's so smooth when it's polished; the rough outer layer has been 'cut' off. Of course, there are differing levels of abrasiveness with polish, but I do think they all cut to some degree.

Nice man. I still say you have to lower that bitch! It looks like an offroad vehicle [rofl] (My e30 was even worse...)
LOL so true. It's especially pronounced at the front of the car, and it's made worse by the fact that I have weedy 14" alloys.... Some E30 M3 'weaves would go down very nicely!

If I wasn't saving money to go overseas this year I would definitely sink some serious cash into this car. Oh well, I guess I have to be content with polishing it [:D]

Very neat and look like brand new! Guess what, as I scroll down the page to check her out, I could see dust on my screen w/ your red 318is as the background. I don't see any scratches. However, it is time for me to clean up my workstation!

Hahahaha damn you Eric![boxface]

LOL I know it's kinda silly the way it sits up so high like that on the front springs but it does look 100 times worse in pics somehow... Still, it means I have plenty of suspension travel for those huge compressions I put it through [:D] When the o/s trip is paid for this baby will get a serious cash-injection.

Thanks again for the compliments guys (Tazza). And Stitch, are you saying my car is your desktop background? If it is then that is possibly the ultimate compliment [hihi]

Pete, that is probably one of the most beautiful and well-maintained E30s I've seen. I love it!!! I SO wish I could find something like that around here!
You aren't kidding!! Why do you think I settled on an e34? [scream] [:(!]

Hahaha thanks Justin. Yeah she's pretty sweet and Reed is right on as to why I'm so obsessed with it. Obsession is probably the most accurate word to describe how I feel about it [hihi]

The best thing about my E30 is that I get to show off my awesome standard coil springs and Bilstein shocks [:D]
