Sorry for your loss Bid D. Is that Rattlesnake lake in North Bend Washington where the Rattlesnake Grade Tour was held? Nice place if so. The pictures look like the parking lot of the park...
Rattlesnake Grade is the road connecting western Idaho and eastern Washington. From Lewiston to Wallowa Lake via the grade. East to West you travel down the grade, very narrow and little to no guard rails, across the Grande Ronde River, up the other side and into Joseph Oregon. Great place. We are anticipating holding the event again this summer, usually in August. Wanna go?
Usually three days some people go for four. We Meet and leave from Lewiston Idaho on a Friday around Noon. We leave at one and arrive in Wallowa Lake around three of four depending on the number of photo ops and attendees with kids (which also enjoy the tour). You must make lodging requests at least a month in advance as the places fill up fast in the summer. There are a lot of places to stay, motels, cabins, lodges, etc. I will add some links and get dates ASAP. We'd love to have you!
