It was a nice day today, so I decided to go for a drive this afternoon up around Pilot Mountain State Park about 40 minutes north of the city where I live. Pilot Mountain was the inspiration for the city named "Mt. Pilot" on the Andy Griffith Show. Found some remote backroads to have some fun on, and then I drove up the mountain. Enjoy the pics:
