Borla for the win, Remus and SLP are also GREAT systems but the rumble from Borla is second to none. I just order a Borla Stinger system for my Mustang, granted I want a completely different sound than you probably want on you Bimmer, but Borla sounds the best.

Eisenmann. Getting the racing exhaust for my audi.
Yea except $800+ for an exhaust for a 9 year old car makes about no sense. Save up $800, get a nice name brand exhaust (no more than $600) and then spend the extra $$ on a REAL cold air intake with ITG filter. In the end it'll sound better than just an eisenmann.

Don't get me wrong though, if I felt like blowing $800 on something providing no performance gain.... it would be an eisenmann!

They say 6.1%-6.4% gain. Its 680 for the racing muffler. I love the throaty sound of the exhuast. I could always go Borla but I heard an eisenmann on a 1.8T and its exactly what im looking for.

There was an exhaust shootout a few years ago on one of the popular magazine and Active Autowerks ranked pretty much at the top of the list.

However I like Eisenmann myself because of its weight.

Should I really comment on this one?

Come on, doesn't telling your peers " ya it's hand made in Stuttgart Germany" have a nice ring to it!

EISENMANN!

They claim " it's the way your car should have sounded from the factory" Everyone that hears my exhaust loves it....

I was nervous that I could've been making a $1000.00 mistake, but I didn't....
I love slowing down and hearing the rumble, it puts hair on my chest!

You can't go wrong with any of the brands on that list. What it come down to really (for street cars) is the look, price, and sound. All brands listed offer outstanding systems for BMW's and other makes as well.....

Anything that has a good tone to you. I prefer a deep tone that really isn't loud. It's subtle but in the background if you want ot hear it. Then if you really want to get on it you'll get that great tone you've been looking for.

I have an AC Schnitzer / Remus on my car. Love it to death> It's tone is the only thign stopping me from doing a full 3" turbo back exhaust.
