Installed it today, and I love it! I would definitely recommend it to anyone!!! I'm not sure what in my car is 6V, so I don't know where I could hardwire it, so for now it's in the cig. lighter.

It's all I could do for right now... the casette isn't really noticeable, and I don't know of any 6V power sources to hardwire to, otherwise I'd have hardwired it to the fuse panel that's 3-4" away from the unit... would have been far easier.

i know how to hardwire that thing....

go to radio shack and buy a cig lighter adapter and hardire that behind speedometer...ther is enough room for it in there. Then you should be all set.

You should have just stripped down the 12v adapter that they gave you with the XM reciever. Just take the circuit board out and get rid of all the unnecessary plastic. Then jsut hardwire the 12v adapter to a 12v source behind the dash - I'm sure you can find some room back there for it.
