I don't know if it has been posted up already, but I was looking at my car mags from a couple months ago. In the British magazine Car it shows the new E90 in there. I thought I'd post the pic up for you guys...

It's no stunner...

...but eh.[confused]

Yea, wow it's not Bangleized!
That's what my first thoughts were too. I guess it didn't click in my head when I read this article back in April - probably cos I didn't own my E30 then - but it seems to have a slight Bangle influence in the amber turn indicators, but the profile of it - in the smaller pics - look like they keps the existing shape of the current 3-Se.

That's exactly what BMW was thinking. The 3-series makes up most of BMW's sales so they wanted a more streamlined approach for the new 3-series...one that isn't Bangleized and one that won't scare current and potential customers away. Basically, everybody SHOULD like the new 3-series. [:D]

I don't like how it looks either. Before it, the 3's looked sleek and sporty, this one looks ... um ... kinda fat. I don't like the doors, the turn signals and the beginning of the hood. It's too roundish and too big, looks like a boat or something. Well, at least it's better then the new 5.

I have always enjoyed the way BMWs looked with a few personal exceptions of course. But with the 7 and the recent introduction of the new 5 and now this, I seriously am not happy. I am sure I will get used to the styling changes, however I really dont like the direction Bangle is taking BMW in. Between the model years '02 and '05 BMW will have redesigned every one of its cars, which is fine (every car company does it), but among BMW owners and enthusiasts how many of those models can you say you really love, enough to trade your own car for? Me personally none. I wouldnt trade my lemon of a car for any of the newly designed cars (except the 6 [:D] ) I just think BMW needs to think a little more about their designs, and maybe create a little more diversity in their line so all of their cars dont look the same (i.e. new 7, new 5, new 3).

my $.02

Eh, it's so hard to have opinions on their new designs because it causes controversy. Though I'm not a fan of the new 7, I actually like the 5. It's a little off-color but it's a nice car in it's own right. The three isn't as bangelized as the others, but I think it'll grow with us over time.

OMG THAT IS THE UGLIEST Bimmer YET!.... Omg.. the shock... bmw truly needs to take a chill pill on the constant redesigns... These cars are sooo not cool now, lost their agressive touch.. And all of them look the same in the front... Altho the old ones did too but they had diffrences.. but these...

I think that it is fugly! Call me old fashioned or what not. So roughly in a year or two, we will have BMW 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 series[confused] They are totally stepping in the wrong direction if you ask me. Bringing back the six isn't a bad idea. BECAUSE THERE WAS ONE TO BEGIN WITH!!!!!! Creating new cars like the 1,2,4 series is absolute madness. I think that I am going to have to save up and buy a porsche. It will be a while before they f*ck up the 911.

I agree, "fugly." [rofl] And what is up with those lights? [8] It would have looked a little better with more of the '04 style.

I concur with most of you. I don't like the new 3 series look. First it's Z4, :(. When new 7 came out, it was okay that it looked like a whale because it was supposed to be big. But when new 5 came out, I was so dissapointed, especially with contrast to the new E class of Mercedes which actually looks sportier and better.
Now this new 3/4 look is actually not so surprising, with its side resembling Z4, front and back like 5, really nothing to praise about. This reminds me when new Audi A4 came out, it was pretty terrible too, but I thought maybe with time, I'll get used to the new styling. I have not. It's kind of comforting to see so many people agree with me because I'm not that old yet!
the only good German car left is Porsche, but way too pricy. I guess I'll keep my current car as long as possible or trade in for a 04 M3 before it runs out, or even get a Japanese car...

...am I alone in thinking that the new E-Class looks like a Honda?
