They are Bi-Xenons. The inner lights are my day driving lights only, not the main headlights.
I realize the inner lights are the day driving lights. It is the same for mine. I just couldn't see the little line that goes through the lights that separate the high/low beems like mine.

Sounds like you have a version of DDE's like mine, the bulb lights up the fiber optics which run to the light housing, and into the rings.

Umnitza used to offer a package of colored film sheets designed for those light boxes - you can slide em in and change them to a ton of different colors. (red, blue, green, yellow, and alot of flavors inbetween). I just poked around their site and didn't see them, they used to come with the light kits I thought.

It was a handful of treats. I ate them all in one sitting. [burnout] Enough on that.
I guess I can say that they are my first mod.
M Speed--didnt mean to insult your knowledge. I guess I didnt know that there was suppose to be a line going through.

No problem HornyHornet, I didn't take as an insult at all. I was just wondering. Mine have a line in the middle of my Xenon's. I was just wondering if your car is equipped with them being the model and age of your vehicle (very nice I might add).

........I drank some beers and tried to figure it out.
By golly I found out how to do it with only costing me a few trips to the toilet. Nothing like the nookie and a sharpie marker to bring out the best in me. Within the hour I had the biggest smile in my face. [clap]
Although I dont know how the long term looks are gonna be, I figure it sure looks damn good. Here they are.
Do you have instructions or pics on how your removed the bulbs? I'd sure love to know how to do it? Or maybe someone can point me in the right direction? My searches usually come up blank on this subject. Thanks [thumb]

any instructions for this yet? [:D]
Sorry about that. I am gonna use some pictures to make it as easy as possible. I'll have to wait for tommorrow cause the Mrs. has it now. Some instructoins will be here by then, guaranteed.

As for long term results, over time, the sharpie will fade due to the high temp of the bulb. Sooner or later your Angel Eyes will be back to normal. I say in about a week. I figure it would be good for specific occasions where you do not want permanent results. Not bad I say.

Instructions Finally

The following pictures give a graphic explanation of how to color you E39 angel eyes. As i mentioned earlier, these are only temporary if you use a sharpie like I did. Hope the pictures are clear for anyone who whishes to use them.
A quick note: to remove the bulb housing from the headlights, you nee to turn the housing counter-clockwise using the levers on each side. To remove the housing from the connection, press on the lever atop the connector. The bulb cannot be disconnected because of the soldering of the two plastic pieces that make up the housing.
