The reason that your car leans like that is because you have NO performance options and I assume you have a sedan. BMW has softened it's stock suspensions, especially those on the typical bought-for-wife (don't take offense to it, but around here it's true) near-stock 3 series. I guarantee if you took that same on ramp with, say, a grand prix... it wouldnt be able to even GO 50 around the turn w/out near flipping over.

If you had a 330Ci with sport package (or just a 330Ci coupe) you would notice a HUGE difference. Get an M3 and you're talking handling and brakes that is better than that of a Mclaren F1 (if you dont believe me, do the research!!).
I believe you on the last paragraph, and no I wouldn't do that to any American car on a curve theres a reason why theres a 25 mph speed limit on the off ramp and its for economy sedans... And yes my car is an all stock built for a women BMW sedan. [fake] I never said BMW didn't handle well I just felt that some people on here were exagerating the handling. I don't see the benefit of giving everyone the impression that any 3 series handles like the M3 like Car and Driver does. They make it seem as if only the packages and engine types are the differ.

Also the car didn't strike me as if it would flip over, it felt more like it was gonna spin out.

Yeah, and balance of the car really matters too. If you just go into a turn and jam on the brakes while in the turn, of course the car will just get raped. You have to break before you enter the turn, and you have to accelerate throughout the turn (generally speaking, it's more on a case-by-case basis). When you jam on the brakes and make a right turn, all the weight is transferred to the front and to the front left wheel (the outter wheel of course). The idea is to create a perfect balance to all four tires in order to get the best handling out of the car. It's like you have to work for the suspension to make it work for you.
I have found that BMW's handle poor weight distribution pretty well (because of all these auto-driving noobs that I know that like to take turns hard, but have no idea of how to take the turn hard PROPERLY), but all cars need to be properly balanced through the turn for their suspension to work best. I can tell you, for example, that my car can take turns MUCH faster when I balance it properly...it's like the car's way of rewarding the driver, lol.
I can't say I disagree, but I will say that I NEVER said anything about touching the brakes on that turn. And if it makes any difference I never intended to take that off ramp curve at 50, but I knew the car was up to it.

I never assumed you did and I never meant to insult your driving skills. I was just making the point that some highway off-ramps can be angled poorly (downhill) or some other factor. I'm just saying that the BMW 3-series (with Sport Package) handle ridiculously well...so well, that these cars have single-handedly redefined what we classify as a "sports car". Perhaps you were utlimately unimpressed with your car's handling abilities, but I guarantee you that if you drove ANY other sedan in the 3-series' category, you will easily see that a 3-series is a master of the curves. And as if that trait alone wasn't good enough, the 3-series still provides an extremely comfortable ride....it is the ultimate balance of luxury and performance in one suspension setup.
I can tell you that my G35 Coupe has a ride quality that is ridiculously stiff (particularly with the 18" wheels) and that although it handles VERY well, I think a 325Ci/330Ci Sport Package can ultimately take the turns faster while providing a softer and smoother ride.
I believe that the G35 Sedan provides a better blend of ride quality and handling that more closely matches the 3-series' (sedan) ride and handling characteristics, but I would still expect a 3-series sedan Sport Package to outhandle the G35 Sedan.

I'm a proud owner of a 3 series built for a lady... [:D] I just got my suspension changed out from the non-sport, to something a tad nicer, and I'm just totally taken back by my car's handling now.. I dropped in Koni adjustable shocks, w/ Eibach sportline springs.. I'm sitting about 2 inches lower, it's stiffer, but all in all not much different than my stock suspension felt. Except in turns, it's like it's sitting on rails now.. I'm waiting for everything to settle before I get it aligned and balanced out, and hoping for a non-rainy day to take some new pics.

You have to take into account what Mr Ellusive said, and epj3 as well. When they sell the 3 series these days (Really any Non-M or non-sports package BMW), they are selling you a sports car that has been 'dumbed' down for lack of a better term.. A few changes here and there and the heart of the car (still a sports car!) really shines out much more brilliantly.

But you're right it's no Porsche 911 or Ferrari Scaglietti, or Mazzerati MC12, or SL55 AMG Benz (thank goodness), or even an Aston Martin Vanquish. But it IS a BMW, and that's head and shoulders above the majority of the cars built these days.
