ok I am not trying to knock fatty but has anyone said anything about the fact that he doesnt have a "real" Alpina B3 3.0 so in essence is he "posing" or just doing it tastefully.....for example if I was to get the M5 mirrors and a "faux" quad exhaust and M5 rims my car would look like a M5....would I then be able to put a M5 trunk badge on my car? This subject has been broached before and I was wondering why noone flamed fatty they way they have flamed so many other.........no hard feelings fatty it is still a very nice looking ride.....I would drive it!

none taken.....
there are a few out there that have flamed me for creating a replica (worst was on an Aplina forum) i have never, nor will i tell anyone she is a real Alpina, she isnt..... she is a replica....

over here insurance is high on them and with a speeding conviction on my licence for
"excessive" speed over 70mph ive got no chance of insuring one (even at the age of 29 with 12 years bonus)

because i love the look of the B3 and carnt afford one at the momnet a replica will do for me, and at least i have a little bit of power under the bonnet with a respectible 2.8......

but if anyone wishes to flame, flame away! we are all entitled to their own opinion.[thumb]

My opinion is you have a great looking car, whatever makes your heart pitter patter is what you should be sitting in and enjoying. "is it real' or 'is it a replica' doesn't make sense, a car is not defined by it's badges, but by how it really performs, and how good the driver is at actually driving..

Tight looking car sir.. Just checked ya on cardomain.. [:)]

Okaaayyyy now I guess I can get my "M" badge without feeling guilty. Since in Europe my car would be called E39 M-Facelift.......but most Americans dont know anything about that..they would just flame for even having an "M" symbol on the trunk...sigh...I still love my american brothers(and the occasional sister)though!!!
