"They made me an offer I couldn't refuse"

So anyway...

I'm all set to get back to the real world, pick up my new ZHP and [driving2] off into

the beautiful desert s/w sunset [:D], and what do they go and do but [offer] me a

5 month extension to my contract... ($$$)

I told them, as long as I can take a 12 days to head back to 'Skin City' and take delivery

of a new Bimmer, I'd accept...

I'll just get the damned thing 'broken-in' and then have to put her in the garage until about

May (ish) before I get back home again. Man, I hate when that happens... [:(]

"on the way home for delivery..."

[wave]

Yo Bryan...

I'm leaving Johnston this afternoon and will be home Sun. morning. WOO~HOO[:D]

The wife is at D. BMW as we speak picking up the ZHP. She'll probably have her all

'broken-in' by the time she picks me up at the airport[driving2] .

I'm going to be looking for a digital camera so I can get some pic.'s posted on the Board[thumb]

I'll give ya a shout when I get in and have put a few miles under my belt to give you

some 1st impressions...[clap]

"back on the rock..."

[wave] Bryan,

I sent-off an 'E' to you a week ago.

I hated to leave my ZHP in the garage, but I should be back around April. [thumb]

If there is [one] thing I dislike about the car, it's such a 'pain-in-the- [shake]' to keep those

wheels clean[?|].

I'm real particular about keeping her clean but if you don't pay attention to detail and keep

the brake dust off than it effects the look of the overall car.

My plans are to set-up a 'mini' auto detailing area in my garage after I have the cabinets

installed. I'm even considering [idea] taking each of the wheels off (every 4-6 weeks) to

access the area where all the [brake] dust gets caked-up, in the back of the wheel area...

Other than that, I'm extremely happy with the color/performance of the ZHP.

I just need more time to [driving2] it...

Hey Paddy [wave]

I just found your email today...for some reason some of my regular email is going to a spam folder, including everything related to bmwboard.com. No idea why[???1]

I hate the brake dust and have tried everything to keep it off. I found the best way is to wash them and dry them good and NOT apply any type of wheel polish. When I was using the Zymol wheel polish stuff they attracted the dust like a magnet. I also found that I could just dust them off easily every couple of days and they looked much better.

I am not sure what to do with the water restrictions, there must be a way I can still wash my car. [?|]

[wave] Hey Bryan,

Thankx for the reply.

Thank God we're in an area of the country that doesn't require us to wash our cars very often.

In the Spring, Summer & Fall all I do is pull out the old 'California Duster.' Once in the morning does it.

With Lake Mead's water line going down by the month forget about having a hose & a wet driveway in public view. [nono]

The one thing I [am] going to start doing is pulling the wheels & washing them, to keep them as clean as I can.

I'll just need to pay attention to getting the lug nuts re-torqued, which is what BMW recommends after messing with the wheels...[^]

I was thinking of giving that 'Zoop Seal' a try, although it's a little pricey...[rolleyes]
