Serpentine Belt Replacement

My first post here. So I just replaced my alternator and now must get the new belt on (I cut the old one off). What's the best way to do this? Access on top is very tight. Is it better underneath? And how many belts are there? I see some diagrams showing a second belt from crankshaft to AC. Is that always the case? I can't seem to see this second belt in my setup. And finally, should I replace the belt tensioner or other pulleys just to be on the safe side? I drive a 2008 Z4, 3.0. Any help or advice is appreciated.
